Hey! Just finished your demo!
I think it's a pretty solid game design in all stages, lots of variety of obstacles.
The difficulty is good, and I'm really looking forward to see it becomes even harder in advanced levels!
The real dificulty was to press right shift to dash though
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Umamisoft for your comment!
Glad you enjoyed the game overall ! :D
I think you would have had a much better experience using a controller for your first discovery of the demo! The keyboard inputs are really only advised if you have already played games like Celeste with a keyboard. Inputs are easier to get used to on a controller!
Otherwise, the dash is also bound to the Right Mouse Click at any time, did you notice it? Also, you can rebind the dash located on the right shift key to any key you like better! The right shift key normally allows you to dash with your right hand while you handle movement and jump with your left hand using the WASD keys and the space bar! Maybe you used the arrow keys instead of WASD and then of course, it might be difficult to reach the right shift key then i guess!
Thanks again for playing ! :D
Dude Loved The Demo! Some Bugs Over The UI, But That Was All I Found.
Also Wish You Allowed For Mouse Clicks like Left And Right Be Bound On Other Actions.
In General The Game Was Entreating And Frustrating At The Same Time,
A Great Balance.
I kept me wanting to beat the game or reach another sector to see what was next , even though I had to repeat about 100 times the same jumps Lol.
I did struggle in getting the boost jump to work that is what kept me stuck in some parts.
Have you thought about showing a little animation scene of the player jumping on the walls , like a ghost replay of the moves in action , that the player need to make, wile they are interacting with the guide with a signs.
Hey WoN! Glad you liked the demo overall! :D
About the UI, if that's about the scrolling resolution panel you are talking about, well it's not a bug that moving the mouse cursor makes the panel scroll (that's what I understood as the UI bug from what you told me on Instagram at least). It is an intended behavior.
The game is meant to be hard but offers a lot of checkpoints like in Celeste so you can try again quickly when you die!
I think when you say boost jump, you are talking about bouncing on the floor, right? You can complete the whole demo without bouncing on the floor at all, I designed it that way. Bouncing on the floor is only mandatory to get some optional pieces in the level! The only exception are two switches on the floor where you need to use the floorbounce to activate them. All platforming sections can be done without floorbounce.
I don't plan to have a ghost to explain but I'll teach it in a different way in the final game. This demo is tight and doesn't allow too much time to explain the controls. I will have 2 tutorial levels at the beginning of the final game: one for the dash and the other one for the bounce.
I had a great time playing this demo!
It's a challeguing plataforming game about bouncing everywhere haha hoping to hear more from it soon :D
I'll left a screenshot with my stats
